My Events and Adventures with Lesbian Speed Dating
A year ago I had signed up for some events hosted by Professionals in the City, a social networking group for that covers the metropolitan area. I had heard that their speed dating events were a great place to meet men. Dating sites on the Internet were wearing me out and I went on several dates but never clicked with one person. They either lied on their profile to make themselves appear better than they were or they drank like such alcoholics I would be amazed if they even remembered my name, or that they even went on a date the next morning. I think all they wanted was to meet-up, go back to their apartment, have sex, and move onto the next victim. I took a serious look at my profile and saw why I attracted these types of men and made the necessary changes. There were quite a few by the way.
My speed dating event way on a Friday night at a beautiful restaurant and I checked in 20-minutes early as requested. I was lead over to the bar by one of the staff and had a few drinks with the women that were there. Then more women showed up and the conversation turned to the last girlfriend that they had and what a disastrous ending their relationships were. I made my way over to a staff member who informed me that I was at a lesbian speed dating event. Before I had a chance to get out another syllable the event began. I had my name tag on and my pen and index card to write down the women that interested me so I took a seat and let the adventures begin!
I was straight-up with the first woman who sat across from me and told her that I thought this was a heterosexual 30s-40s speed dating event and we both laughed about it. Since you have five minutes to spend with each date we talked about business and where we lived. I actually really liked her and we exchanged business cards even though you're not supposed to. The events that followed seemed to be pretty much the same. Laugh, talk, and exchange business cards.
Everyone who was seated laughed when I told them about the mix up, I had a lot in common with many of the women, and after exchanging numbers with many of them got calls within in the next day because they wanted to fix me up with one of their straight friends. I'll tell you, adventures like these don't come along too often, and some of the men they fixed me up with had some very positive potential.
